Miracles Are Real

We are currently teaching a guy named Glynn who has a heroin addiction. He has been addicted since he was a teenager and he has almost died from it. He has been trying to get completely clean for decades and we just recently we found him. We actually knocked on his door the day after he used heroin. We met him last week but this week we got to teach him and it was the best lesson I've had so far in my mission. We taught him the restoration and the spirit was so strong. He was craving the gospel. He has had one of the worst pasts I've ever heard of. He has faced so many different struggles and trials in his life including abuse, early parent death, and drug addiction. He is a single parent of two children, one of which is autistic. He has such a kind heart. When we taught him the first time the spirit was so strong and he really opened up to us! He was so receptive to the message and was eager to read the Book of Mormon. The 2nd time we came we brought Mike Turvey and he completely locked him in by telling his conversion story and ending with a beautiful prayer. He is reading daily and praying as well. We are going to baptize him on the 19th of December! We are so blessed to see that miracle! There are tons of Glynns out there searching for the gospel! When we told the zone leader they kept asking if we're sure he's going to make it because of the drugs. We told them we know he will be baptized because he wants to overcome his addiction through Jesus Christ and I know he can even though heroin is one of the worst drugs in the planet. I have such a powerful testimony that all things can be strengthened through Christ. I've felt it directly in my life and seen it work in others'.

Miracles are real.
